Who we are
Dillon Manzanares
Dillon loves the process just as much as the send. With redpoints up to 5.14a, he understands what it takes to stay committed, navigate setbacks, and keep showing up. His path into coaching began long before climbing through years of elite-level physical training as a Division 1 pole vaulter at the University of Arizona. That foundation sharpened his analytical mind, sparked his fascination with movement, and built respect for the relationship between effort, trust, and long-term progress.
Dillon’s real superpower is his passion for people. He’s deeply invested in understanding what motivates each climber, what holds them back, and what helps them achieve their greatest potential. Coaching is his true calling. Guiding someone to unlock a new skill, break through a plateau, or experience newfound confidence is what drives him more than any personal milestone.
Analytical by nature and endlessly curious about training theory, movement efficiency, and performance, Dillon’s coaching blends data-driven science and pure, unabashed hype. He helps climbers not only get physically stronger, but to develop the tactics and technical skills to make real progress. Dillon will meet you exactly where you are and help you move forward with more clarity, commitment, and trust in your potential.
Adam Stewart
Adam began his climbing journey on the sea cliffs of England more than 18 years ago, armed with nothing but curiosity and a sense of adventure. He didn’t even own climbing shoes or a chalk bag. It took him three years to climb his first 5.10+. That slow start shaped everything he believes about progression. Given patience, determination, and the right kind of practice, Adam has now climbed 5.13+/5.14- sport routes in multiple countries.
Over the years, Adam has worked as a route setter, head coach, and trip organizer. He has mentored more than a hundred climbers from ages 6 to 65. What he loves most is watching people surpass their goals and reach new heights. His coaching blends mindset, attention to detail, and refined technical skill, creating an environment where climbers learn to trust themselves and move with greater confidence.
Adam believes that most climbers are far stronger than they realize. In his experience, many people have the physical strength to climb 5.13a or harder right now. Breakthroughs come from refining movement, focused attention, practicing perseverance, and believing in your capability. His coaching helps climbers uncover their hidden strengths and achieve more than they ever thought possible.
Beth Manzanares
Beth is a Somatic Coach and Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) who believes deeply in the inherent wisdom of the body-mind. She has spent years studying the nervous system, and the ways the body holds patterns, stories, and protective responses. Her work is grounded, compassionate, and centered on helping people reconnect with their soma so they can move through fear, performance blocks, and protective patterning with greater ease.
Beth’s journey into coaching began through her own process of healing and rediscovery. After years of building and leading mission-driven organizations, she stepped back to create space for clarity and reconnection. That shift led her into somatic coaching, where she found a way of working that brings together her love of people, her deep curiosity about the mind and body, and her belief that transformation happens through presence rather than pressure.
At Beyond Beta, Beth supports climbers who want to develop more than physical strength and technical skill. She works with those who sense that something deeper holds them back. Her sessions blend somatic awareness, breathwork, visualization, and yoga-informed movement practices to help climbers feel safer in their bodies, steadier in their minds, and more connected to their inner strength. Her approach is gentle yet powerful, helping clients unlearn old patterns and create new pathways that stay with them en route and in life.
